Happy 1st Birthday Emily!

Today I had my birthday party. I was napping quietly until Mommy and Daddy burst into my room, put me in my party dress and then took me downstairs to a house full of my friends. I recognized most all of the faces and was so happy to see other little babies there too! Mommy made my birthday cake. It was strawberry pink and yummy! Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me and then helped me blow out my candle. Oh boy! The other big event of the day was after everybody left, except Grammie and Grampie, I took three or four unassisted steps right into Daddy's arms! I love walking even though Mommy and Daddy are sad that I am growing up so quickly.
